MTT struts

The basic element of the BMC Micro Travel ecosystem, the MTT struts combine advanced carbon technology with the proven dual-guide design. The progressive tube shapes of the seatstay and chainstay merge in the carbon and its highly specific lay-up to create exceptionally compliant performance on rough terrain. The MTT struts add extra compliance to the rear triangle of the bike while improving traction and control on technical terrain in a lightweight, reliable and seamlessly integrated design.

Modern gravel tires are able to provide traction, improve rolling resistance and dampen high-frequency vibrations caused by small obstacles. However, in the case of greater resistance such as cracks in the roadway, stones and roots, they reach their limits. These shocks cannot be adequately absorbed by the tires unless they are driven at low pressure, which in turn affects safety and rolling resistance.

The MTT suspension fork is designed to remove the limitations of gravel tires and avoid sacrificing performance. It absorbs more than 46% of shocks that generate vibrations in the range of 10-50 Hz, typical of gravel riding.
