The new GRX wheel supports gravel rides and enables faster, further and more exciting tours. Wider tires require wider rims to ensure the tire’s lateral stability even at low tire pressures. SHIMANO carefully examined the complex relationship between tire width, rim width, tire pressure and lateral tire stability to optimize the GRX rim width for 32-50c tires. We also strived to find the best balance of rim weight, strength and profile to create an outstanding gravel wheel.
