CUBE NUROAD C:62 PRO – test winner “TOUR Magazine”
In the special supplement “Gravel-Spezial” of the latest issue of TOUR (05/2023), the Cube Nuroad C:62 PRO secured test victory.

In the test “Versatile: How much gravel bike do you get in the attractive price range around 2,000 euros? – Ten current models made of aluminum and carbon provide the answer in the tour test.” This puts the Nuroad ahead of other brands such as Canyon, Coratec, Focus, Fuji, Giant, Poison, Radon, Rose and Stevens.

Assessment:

“The C:62 Pro is the cheapest Nuroad with a carbon frame and, because of its low weight, it is an expert for fast gravel laps. The nine kilos for the complete bike are not only a clear unique selling point in this price range, more expensive race models are also sometimes heavier.

In addition to the light frame set, the bike benefits from the low weight of the wheels, which are equipped with fast tires. The smooth-running bike is correspondingly fast on the terrain, and it also moves quickly on asphalt in a comparatively stretched sitting position.

The carbon support and the factory-fitted tires already provide good damping, and a maximum of 45 millimeter tires fit through the frame and fork for more spring comfort. The single drive with reduction is easy to use and offers enough reserves on steep sections, but the jumps between gears are a bit large out of.”

With the Cube Nuroad C:62 Pro 2024, the comfort and low weight of a gravel full carbon frame including a comfortable full carbon fork meet the gravel-specific GRX 1×11 groupset from Shimano – for brilliant support on all tours in unknown terrain. Cube put super-grippy Schwalbe tires on the Newmen wheels – also developed specifically for off-road use.

Newmen also contributes the carbon seat post. And powerful hydraulic disc brakes slow the bike safely and precisely. Now there are no more excuses – where should the next tour go?

A really good gravel bike combines the lively handling of a race bike, the robustness of a cyclocross machine and the comfort of a tourer. A balancing act that not everyone can do. But the Cube Nuroad C:62 impresses across the board.

Its stability, versatility and high level of driving comfort are thanks to a light carbon construction and our attention to detail. This includes a full carbon fork with mounts for lowrider luggage racks and screw points for additional accessories such as luggage racks and mudguards.

Of course, handling isn’t neglected either: the generous tire clearance leaves enough space for 45 mm wide tires – or 40 mm wide tires, even with mudguards.
