✅  WITH THE ROAD BIKE THROUGH THE TRAFFIC, CAN THAT GO WELL?

A road bike is not a normal bike. It has been designed to move its driver forward at breathtaking speed.

Many people like to ride their road bikes in their free time, go on long tours, train and take part in races. But there are also many people who take advantage of the advantages of a road bike in the city. Due to the low weight, it is incredibly easy to accelerate the bikes.

Thanks to the sporty sitting posture, you can reach really high speeds and reach your destination in the city in no time. But don’t worry: all new road bikes are equipped with excellent brakes that allow you to come to a stop just as quickly as you are at top speed.

If you want to provide additional safety, you can build clip-on lights on your road bike. These are hardly noticeable, but attract a lot of attention. Road bikes are therefore safe and absolutely suitable for use on the road.

✅  IS THERE EVEN A CLEAR DIFFERENCE IN FRAME GEOMETRY FROM A CROSS BIKE TO A ROAD RACER?

Not all road bikes are the same and not all cross bikes are the same. Every bike is different, regardless of the category. Basically, however, the two types of road bike and cross bike are very similar.

Both have a drop bar (road handlebars), relatively thin tires and stand for sporty, dynamic handling. Of course, the frame and its geometry are mainly responsible for the latter.

However, since there are many different sub-types of road bike models (Aero, Endurance, Race), they can only be compared with each other to a limited extent.

And even within the individual categories, the geometries of the bikes differ again, depending on the manufacturer. However, it can be said that road bikes from the race sector are already relatively similar to cross bikes in terms of geometry.

However, there are many other differences in terms of tire width, brakes and drive.

✅  WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INDOOR AND ROAD RACING BIKES?

There are many different road bikes. The different disciplines in cycling make this necessary. For long-distance riders, for example, there are endurance bikes, for off-road pilots crossers.

There are also special bikes for indoor or track cycling. At first glance, they have a lot in common with other road bikes, but they also differ significantly in some cases. The typical appearance with road bike handlebars and thin tires unites both. The sporty riding posture is also a characteristic that applies to pretty much all road bikes.

The most important difference between indoor or track bike bikes is that they have only one gear and this is also rigid. This means that bikes in this category do not have a freewheel or brake.

In addition, they may have other special features such as tubular tires or disc wheels. This makes them hardly suitable for use in road traffic.
